Diane kindly took Okie in several years ago with the hope that he would become a lesson horse. Okie is an ex-racehorse who at the time was being cared for, and living in a field with little to no training schedule. He was a very sweet boy with a boatload of physical and emotional baggage. It has taken a lot of time, love, and healing work to help him become a functional member of our herd, but he has finally turned the corner. Thankfully, with training, Okie is now being enjoyed by our more experienced students who can appreciate his sensitivity and learn the more advanced movements from him on the ground and in the saddle. Okie has become more supple, balanced, sound, and sane enough to earn his spot on the Majoda Lesson Pony Team. He's so proud to have found his purpose and loves to teach! Go Okie
Pegasa and Carrie belong to each other. They have been together since Peg was 3 months old. She is intelligent, loving, and athletic, still going strong, learning and teaching every day at 20 years of age. She shows no signs of slowing down, and is expecting her first foal in June of 2021!
It's Bruno!!
Bruno is our youngest horse. He's adorable, loving and has a great sense of humor. He's settled in here at Majoda, and is becoming a wonderful lesson horse! Bruno is loved by everyone, especially since he participated in summer camp this year! He was kindly gifted to Majoda by our friend Christine Connelly of Bright View Farm, where he was bred and raised to be a racehorse. Fortunately for us this sweet boy had no aptitude for the task he was bred for and is perfectly suited for the job he has now.
We sure do love this baby boy!
Rosita recently returned to us in June 2020, after being a companion horse for a few years! She's now being used in beginner lessons and loving it! We sure do love this sweet girl!
